London Fashion Week SS16

Show and presentation reports from London Fashion Week SS16, 18th – 22nd September 2015.

All reports written for and originally posted on WJ London.

Christopher Raeburn

Still in the process of knitting a pair of the adorable shark mittens from his AW15 collaboration with Wool and the Gang, I was impatient to enter the BFC Showspace to see what Christopher Raeburn had in store for us for SS16.

Belstaff

Upon walking up the steps of the Hellenic Centre, an elegant Marylebone mansion, delicious smells wafted out to greet us.

Keiko Nishiyama

A welcome warm respite from the torrential rain which had overwhelmed the Monday of LFW, the foyer of Sketch was dark and mysterious.

Teresita Orillac

Out of all my invitations this season, it was Teresita Orillac’s that intrigued me the most.

Daniela Barros

On a balmy evening in Soho, Daniela Barros welcomed us down into the dark On|Off space in The Vinyl Factory for her SS16 show.

Rohmir

If I had to choose one word to sum up Rohmir, it would have to be opulence. Which is no surprise, considering that founder and designer Olga Roh hails from Russian nobility.

Judy Wu

Following her catwalk debut, Shanghai Tales, last season, Judy Wu returned to Freemasons’ Hall this year to showcase her SS16 collection, Gaia.

Markus Lupfer

In the shadow of the Horse Guards Parade and the Ministry of Defence, Markus Lupfer invited us into the barren wasteland that was the set for his SS16 collection.

Le Kilt

Amidst the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street, there is a small door leading down stairs to the 100 Club, legendary music venue and home to the Le Kilt SS16 presentation, Stupid Girl.

Renli Su

Upon entering The Swiss Church for Renli Su’s SS16 presentation, the manic buzz of LFW ebbs away as you are drawn through glass doors and into the Church Hall.

Phiney Pet

On a tiny street somewhere behind Oxford Street, behind an unremarkable door and up a winding staircase is a chapel. And this is where Phiney Pet threw her Everyday Birthday bash.

Clio Peppiatt

Momentarily blinded by the flashing lights outside the On|Off space at The Vinyl Factory, I thought I’d somehow stumbled through a time portal in the doorway when my eyes focussed again on Clio Peppiatt’s presentation.

Angel Chen

Having seen Angel Chen at Fashion Scout’s Ones to Watch last season, I was excited to be sat front row for her very own catwalk show in Freemason’s Hall.

Exit to Soho

“A place of history, disbelief and everything that’s in-between; one can come to live the dream, and live it individually” Harry Baker, Ode to Soho
